NATO Chief: Alliance Cannot Fully Support Zelensky’s Plan

President Volodymyr Zelensky unveiled his Victory Plan to end the war in Ukraine, with the first element being guaranteed entry into NATO, although NATO leaders have not fully supported the plan yet. Zelensky’s plan aims to protect and rebuild Ukraine’s territorial integrity post-war. Despite NATO’s hesitance on the invitation, they reaffirm their support for Ukraine, emphasizing that the decision lies with all 32 NATO members.

The plan consists of five key points: Immediate NATO invitation to Ukraine, strengthening defense capabilities, deterrence of future Russian aggression, economic measures to safeguard resources, and enhancing security post-war. Zelensky’s proposal includes secret appendices shared with key allies like the US and UK.

While NATO deliberates on full support for Zelensky’s plan, the alliance remains steadfast in backing Ukraine against Russian interference. As Zelensky navigates Ukraine’s path to peace, NATO ensures Ukraine is in a strong position for negotiations, asserting Russia’s lack of influence over Ukraine’s sovereignty. The President’s bold plan underscores Ukraine’s determination and calls for Western solidarity in ensuring a secure future for the country.
