Kano NDLEA Gets Several Convictions in One Day

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Kano State recently announced multiple convictions in a single day, showcasing their commitment to upholding the rule of law and eradicating drug offences. The convictions included a 25-year-old sentenced to nine years in prison for drug-related charges, and a 40-year-old ex-convict given seven years for drug trafficking.

These successful convictions disrupted a major drug supply chain, safeguarding communities from the harms of illicit substances. The swift administration of justice in these cases sends a strong message to potential offenders about the seriousness of drug-related crimes.

The State Commander of the NDLEA in Kano, Mr. CN AI Ahmad, commended the support of the Chairman of the NDLEA, Brigadier-General Mohammed Buba Marwa (retd.), and the Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, in the fight against drug abuse. Justice Shuaibu and the Command’s prosecution and legal services unit were also praised for their roles in securing the convictions.

These milestones highlight the NDLEA’s dedication to maintaining law and order and creating a drug-free society. The agency remains committed to upholding the law and ensuring justice prevails.
