Jemima Goldsmith worried for ex Imran Khan in prison

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s ex-wife, Jemima Goldsmith, has spoken out about his treatment in prison, calling for his immediate release. Goldsmith expressed concern over reports that Khan has been isolated, denied visits from family and lawyers, and kept in solitary confinement with limited contact with the outside world.

Khan, who was ousted in a parliamentary vote in 2022, has been detained since August last year and is unable to run for office. Goldsmith highlighted that his family members have also been targeted, with his sisters and nephew arrested unlawfully. She herself has faced threats from Khan’s political opponents.

Goldsmith emphasized the importance of upholding Khan’s human rights and international law, regardless of political differences. She urged for Khan’s release and for the re-establishment of contact with his sons, who live in London.

This plea for justice comes amidst mounting legal issues for Khan and his family, with Goldsmith advocating for fair treatment and transparency in his case.
