IRGC chief threatens ‘painful’ retaliation if Israel attacks Iran

Major General Hossein Salami, the chief commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), spoke at the funeral of Martyr Major General Abbas Nilforoushan, who was assassinated by the Zionist regime. He stated that the Israeli regime’s attempt to disrupt the Axis of Resistance by targeting leaders like Nilforoushan, Hassan Nasrallah, and Ismaeil Haniyeh failed due to “Operation True Promise 2” and Iranian missiles bypassing Israel’s defenses.

Salami emphasized that the IRGC’s capabilities are far-reaching, and attacks against the Zionist regime will be met with strong responses. The martyrdom of leaders like Qassem Soleimani only strengthened the resolve of the Resistance Front.

The people of Isfahan bid farewell to General Nilforoushan in a grand funeral ceremony, attended by numerous officials and citizens. He will be laid to rest in the martyrs cemetery of his hometown.

Nilforoushan, a senior IRGC Quds Force commander and advisor in Lebanon, was a key figure in the Resistance against oppression. His sacrifice further galvanized the spirit of resistance in the region.
