Iran’s UN mission criticizes Europe’s dangerous approach to Tehran

Europe’s recent actions towards Iran have been criticized by Iranian officials, who believe that the continent is treading a dangerous path. Despite statements by European leaders in New York supporting dialogue, recent meetings in Brussels have seen a disregard for international laws and a focus on false claims against Iran’s sovereignty.

Iran’s government spokesperson, Fatemeh Mohajerani, reiterated that the Persian Gulf islands of Abu Mousa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb are integral parts of Iran. She expressed strong objections to the unfounded claims made in a joint meeting between the European Union and the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council in Brussels, stating that Iran’s territorial integrity is non-negotiable.

Mohajerani emphasized that historical, legal, and geographical evidence supports Iran’s ownership of the three islands, and Iran has consistently rejected baseless claims by the UAE regarding their sovereignty. The country maintains its legal status and sovereignty over the islands, dismissing any attempts to undermine it.

Iran’s stance remains firm in protecting its territorial integrity and rejecting foreign interference in its internal affairs.
