Iran cautions Israel against retaliating for missile strike

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard commander issued a warning to Israel, cautioning against any attack on the Islamic Republic in response to recent missile strikes. Tensions in the Middle East have escalated following clashes between Israel, Hezbollah, and Iran-backed militants.

Hossein Salami, the commander, threatened to retaliate against any Israeli aggression, emphasizing Iran’s ability to breach Israel’s defenses. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin engaged with Israeli officials to mitigate the risk of a broader regional conflict.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi met with Egyptian President to discuss de-escalation efforts, reaffirming the need to prevent the conflict from spreading. However, Israel remains steadfast in its military actions against Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza, vowing to hold Iran accountable for the missile attack.

The situation in the Middle East remains precarious as all sides navigate a delicate balance to prevent further escalation and maintain regional stability amidst heightened tensions.
