India and Canada are facing a diplomatic fallout after the 2023 killing of Sikh separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada. Meanwhile, in a separate incident, India was accused of directing an assassination plot on US soil. The US State Department confirmed that the Indian operative involved was no longer in government service. Despite these challenges, India’s response to the US has been more cooperative compared to its standoff with Canada.
