The Israeli military has recently released a drone video allegedly showing the death of Hamas political leader Yahya Sinwar in southern Gaza. Sinwar, a key figure in the Palestinian group’s military activities, was reportedly killed in an operation by the IDF in the Rafah neighborhood of Tel Sultan.
The video, shared by IDF international spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani, shows a bombed-out house with a figure inside, identified as Sinwar. The footage captures Sinwar throwing an object at the drone before the video abruptly ends.
Sinwar’s identity was confirmed through dental and fingerprint records, with graphic imagery of his body buried under the rubble circulating on social media. Items found on Sinwar’s body included mints, money, a lighter, a Kalashnikov rifle, and an employee ID for the UNRWA.
