President Salva Kiir Urges Peace and Stability in Kajo-Keji County
Central Equatoria State Gen. Augustino Jadalla recently addressed the people of Kajo-Keji County, emphasizing President Salva Kiir’s commitment to enhancing peace and stability nationwide. Jadalla relayed the president’s call for collective efforts in restoring lasting peace and urged the youth to shun violence in favor of peaceful dialogue.
President Kiir also extended an invitation to holdout groups to join the peace process through the Tumaini Initiative, emphasizing the importance of amnesty and reconciliation. Governor Jadalla acknowledged the challenges faced by the people of Kajo-Keji, promising to work towards addressing issues such as healthcare, education, infrastructure, and border disputes.
Kajo-Keji County Commissioner David Lisi Christopher highlighted the need for cooperative and rural development, stressing the importance of revitalizing cooperative societies for community progress. Women’s representative Mary Keji underscored the necessity of peace and stability for the return of refugees and displaced individuals, citing the plight of women and children in camps.
