Lahore: Punjab Government Announces Closure of Educational Institutions
Following the enforcement of Section 144 in the province, the Punjab government has declared that all educational institutions will remain closed on Friday, October 18. This decision comes as part of the measures taken to maintain law and order.
The notification issued by the Punjab Home Department prohibits all types of protests, processions, and public activities during the two-day period of Section 144 implementation, from October 18 to October 19. The government aims to safeguard public safety and prevent potential security risks.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has called for a nationwide protest, advocating for the release of party leaders and workers. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur announced plans for protests in every district, urging citizens to stand against unconstitutional amendments.
