China and Kyrgyzstan Strengthen Mutual Support and Cooperation
Chinese Premier Li Qiang reiterated China’s commitment to solidifying mutual support with Kyrgyzstan during a meeting with Kyrgyz Prime Minister Akylbek Zhaparov. The two leaders discussed furthering development and revitalization efforts, as well as deepening high-quality cooperation within the Belt and Road Initiative.
Highlighting the recent meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Li emphasized plans to strengthen the China-Kyrgyzstan community and elevate bilateral relations. He expressed China’s readiness to enhance connectivity, boost infrastructure development, stimulate trade and investment, and expand cooperation in various sectors like new energy and artificial intelligence.
Zhaparov expressed Kyrgyzstan’s appreciation for China’s support and assistance in economic and social development. He underscored Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to implementing consensus reached by the two countries’ leadership and deepening cooperation in key areas like infrastructure, finance, and education.
Both countries affirmed their support for a shared future and pledged to work together to promote regional peace and prosperity.
