China spy agency warns of rising cybersecurity risks, calls for Intel review.

Concerns over cybersecurity threats have been raised by China’s Ministry of State Security (MSS) after a cybersecurity group urged a review of Intel products sold in China. The MSS highlighted the increasing risks in various sectors like politics, economics, and national defense due to the intensifying battle for dominance in cyberspace.

The China Security Assurance Committee (CSAC) pointed out vulnerabilities in Intel CPUs, leading to issues like video game crashes. Games like GhostRace, NativeBHI, and Downfall were specifically affected by speculative execution flaws, potentially compromising sensitive data.

Furthermore, the CSAC criticized Intel for delayed responses to security breaches and the possibility of creating back doors for cyberattacks without user consent.

In light of increasing cybersecurity concerns, the need for robust measures to protect sensitive information and prevent potential threats is emphasized. Stay informed and vigilant in safeguarding your digital assets.
