Biró’s actions caused significant damage to the company, it was argued

Aerolíneas Argentinas has taken the decision to dismiss APLA pilots union leader Pablo Biró from its board of directors due to alleged incompatibility of his roles. The shareholders assembly concluded that Biró’s actions were harmful to the company. In response, Biró mentioned that he plans to challenge this decision in court.

The main shareholder, the national government, led the vote to expel Biró from the board, citing disloyal actions against the company. Biró, representing the APLA union, engaged in activities that negatively impacted the airline’s operations, causing delays and cancellations affecting thousands of passengers.

Additionally, Argentina’s Security Ministry has filed a criminal complaint against Biró for alleged extortion. This move has raised speculations about a potential privatization of the airline under the Libertarian Government’s agenda.
