The government of Amman has recently announced amended instructions for subscription procedures to receive drinking water services, as published in the Official Gazette. These guidelines include the delivery of water services to existing housing projects, which must obtain approval from the Higher Regulatory Council.
This decision comes in response to numerous demands from citizens benefiting from various housing projects. The government aims to serve approximately 700,000 citizens within these projects by easing the burden on them and providing necessary water services. The Jordan Water Authority or its owned companies will build water conveyance infrastructure at their own expense, with water not being pumped to housing units until at least 10% of the project buildings are occupied.
Overall, these amendments aim to facilitate access to water services for citizens in housing projects and ensure their needs are met. Stay tuned to Jordan News for more updates on national content and news.
