Zelensky unveils ‘victory plan’ – RT Russia & FSU

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky unveiled his ambitious victory plan to end the conflict with Russia during a speech to the parliament. He emphasized that achieving this goal hinges on Kiev’s refusal to compromise with Moscow and receiving strong backing from Western partners.

Zelensky’s plan consists of eight points, with three kept confidential. Firstly, he demanded immediate NATO membership for Ukraine, a move that the alliance has been cautious about due to fear of escalating tensions with Russia. Secondly, he called for bolstering Ukraine’s defense capabilities with long-range weapons and continuing incursions into Russian territory.

The third point involves deploying a non-nuclear deterrent package, while the fourth suggests signing agreements for protecting critical resources. Zelensky also proposed sharing battlefield experiences with the West to enhance NATO’s defense. However, Kremlin dismissed the plan as part of a US-led anti-Russia agenda.

President Putin cited Ukraine’s NATO aspirations and actions in Donbass as key triggers for the conflict. Zelensky’s “victory plan” offers a potential path towards peace, but success ultimately depends on the alignment of key allies and a firm stance against compromise.
