Israeli Military Blocks Aid to Northern Gaza, Relief Organizations Speak Out
International relief organizations have confirmed that the Israeli military has prevented the entry of any food or humanitarian supplies into northern Gaza for the third consecutive week, amid ongoing military operations and a tightened blockade on Jabalia camp and northern areas.
In a joint statement issued today by Oxfam and 37 global relief agencies, it was noted that since October 1, Israel has not allowed any food into northern Gaza, leading to the starvation of civilians while they are bombarded in their homes and tents.
The world cannot remain idle while the Israeli government commits atrocities, as highlighted by the relief organizations. They stressed the importance of protecting civilians under international law and condemned attacks on humanitarian workers and aid structures.
The situation in northern Gaza has worsened, with limited humanitarian access and aid entering the region. Only 2,874 trucks entered in February, representing just 20% of the daily aid provided before October 7.
Relief organizations urge world leaders to intervene and end the atrocities in Gaza, emphasizing that the conditions are dire and the region is on the brink of famine.
