Ukrainian underground storage facilities hold 12.8 bcm of gas

As of October 15, Ukraine’s underground storage facilities hold over 12.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas, exceeding expectations. ExPro Consulting’s data shows that gas reserves are steadily increasing, with 32.8 mcm injected last week alone. The high injection levels are attributed to both increased production and 11 mcm of daily gas supplies. Naftogaz of Ukraine purchases gas from Europe, pumping it into the customs warehouse. With stable re-exports and imports, the government aims to store 13.2 bcm by November 1 for winter. Residential buildings in Ukraine are well-prepared for the colder months, with 99% readiness and thousands of heating facilities on standby. The gas accumulation plan is on track, ensuring a stable energy supply for the country. Stay informed with the latest energy news and developments in Ukraine.
