PM Shehbaz Sharif Chairs 23rd SCO Summit in Islamabad

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hailed the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) as a “beacon of multilateralism” while presiding over the 23rd summit of its Council of the Heads of Government in Islamabad. The SCO, consisting of countries like China, India, Russia, and Pakistan, focuses on regional economic integration and collaboration.

PM Shehbaz emphasized the need to expand projects like the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and CPEC, as well as enhancing connectivity through road, rail, and digital infrastructure. He called for collective efforts to boost regional trade and advance the vision of a connected Eurasia.
