Salvation Government Urges Protection of Civilians Amid Escalating Attacks

The Salvation Government has called on the Fatah al-Mubin operations room to take immediate action to safeguard civilians and their property in northwestern Syria in response to increasing Russian and Iranian assaults. The Department of Political Affairs reported eight civilian deaths, 38 injuries, and the displacement of over 10,000 families due to attacks by Iranian militias.

“These indiscriminate attacks threaten regional stability and worsen the humanitarian crisis. It is crucial for the Fatah al-Mubin operations room to take decisive measures to ensure the safety of civilians and hold the perpetrators accountable,” emphasized the statement.

The recent surge in regime forces and Iranian militia attacks has displaced around 55,000 people internally in northwestern Syria. The Salvation Government remains committed to defending civilians and their right to live in peace and dignity in their homeland.

Escalation in Northwestern Syria

The ongoing military escalation in northwestern Syria has led to intensified artillery and rocket attacks, resulting in civilian casualties. Recent incidents in Sarmin and Kefraya have claimed the lives of several civilians, while Russian airstrikes continue to target civilian areas, causing further harm and damage.
