Premier Li urges China, Russia to uphold close partnership

Chinese Premier Li Qiang emphasized the importance of maintaining close collaboration and communication between China and Russia during a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at the 23rd Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Islamabad.

Li highlighted the mutual support and continued practical cooperation between the two countries, praising their strategic partnership and flourishing exchanges. He expressed readiness to implement agreements, enhance cooperation, and contribute to the development of both nations and global stability.

Additionally, Li outlined plans to deepen traditional economic partnerships and expand collaboration in emerging sectors like the digital economy. Both leaders agreed to uphold the Shanghai Spirit within the SCO for more dynamic and beneficial outcomes.

Mishustin affirmed Russia’s commitment to align with China on initiatives like the Belt and Road, deepen cooperation in energy and transportation, and collaborate in international forums for mutual benefit.
