Amman – The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Kharabsheh, revealed new findings of copper ore in areas outside Dana, signaling upcoming investment agreements in the industry. The government is committed to reforming the electricity sector in line with the Economic Modernization Vision (EMV), aiming for financial justice among stakeholders to boost sustainability and economic development. Jordan’s energy sector is progressing with positive steps towards investments, including the delivery of natural gas to industrial areas and promoting renewable energy sources, which currently account for 27% of electricity production.

The ministry’s focus on green hydrogen strategy and the hydroelectric project at Mujib Dam showcasing Jordan’s commitment to clean energy and infrastructure development. By signing investment agreements in the copper industry, Jordan aims to diversify its mineral resources and strengthen its economic potential in the global market.
