Humanitarian Crisis in Northern Gaza: Urgent Call for Help

Palestinian health officials are pleading for a humanitarian corridor to three hospitals in northern Gaza that are on the brink of collapse. Israeli troops have cut off the area for nearly two weeks during a renewed ground assault, leaving medical staff without essential supplies.

Despite evacuation orders, doctors at the Kamal Adwan, al-Awda, and Indonesian hospitals have remained with their patients. The dire situation has prompted calls for the international community, Red Cross, and World Health Organization to intervene by opening a corridor for fuel, medical supplies, and food.

With over 300 medical staff at the Kamal Adwan Hospital struggling to provide basic services, the need for immediate assistance is critical. The ongoing Israeli offensive in northern Gaza has trapped over 400,000 people, preventing access to vital resources like food, water, and medical care.

‘People are starving’

The United States, France, and China have all expressed concern over the escalating crisis, with the US warning Israel about potential restrictions on military aid if the situation does not improve. The UN and WHO have called for a ceasefire and urgent humanitarian relief.

Polio Vaccinations

Amidst the chaos, efforts to vaccinate children against polio continue, but the lack of resources and access poses a major challenge. The need for a ceasefire, peace, and international support has never been more urgent as the people of Gaza face a catastrophic humanitarian catastrophe.
