Following a lengthy meeting at Jati Umra in Lahore, the top leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) have agreed on proposed constitutional amendments related to judicial reforms. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari confirmed the consensus during a press briefing.

The key figures discussed the 26th constitutional amendment in detail at the Sharif brothers’ residence. The meeting, attended by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and others, focused on enhancing the judicial system to ensure prompt justice delivery. Aiming for non-controversial amendments, the parties plan to present the finalized draft in the National Assembly session scheduled for Thursday.
