Israeli intel official warns of impending disaster in Lebanon

A former Israeli intelligence official, Tamir Hayman, has warned the Israeli government about the potential catastrophe of the ongoing Lebanon war. Hayman emphasized that the campaign could result in an endless conflict leading to a strategic defeat for Israel, jeopardizing its relative advantage.

After over two weeks of fighting, the Israeli occupation army has faced setbacks and significant losses along the Lebanese border, largely due to ambushes by the Lebanese resistance. The situation escalated on Wednesday when the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon forced Israeli forces to evacuate their casualties following operations in southern Lebanon.

Reports indicate that a recent attack near the Lebanese border resulted in at least 45 Israeli soldiers being killed or wounded, with some in critical condition. The Israeli media described the troops as turning into an ambulance crew for the wounded.

This development highlights the escalating tensions and risks in the region, with the conflict showing no signs of abating.
