Israeli delegations at the upcoming Euronaval defence show in France will not be allowed to set up stands or exhibit hardware, following a decision by the French government. This decision comes amidst growing tensions between France and Israel, triggered by President Macron’s criticism of Israeli military actions.
Euronaval, set to start on November 4 in Paris, will welcome Israeli companies and citizens under these conditions. This is not the first time Israeli defence manufacturers faced restrictions in France; they were initially banned from the Eurosatory land defence exhibition in May before being allowed by the courts.
Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant condemned Macron’s actions, calling them a “disgrace.” Gallant argued that the decision to discriminate against Israeli defence industries in France during critical times aids Israel’s enemies. This move has sparked a heated exchange between the two countries.
