Chinese premier urges strengthening SCO collaboration

Chinese Premier Advocates for Stronger SCO Cooperation

During the 23rd Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Islamabad, Chinese Premier Li Qiang emphasized the need to deepen and broaden cooperation within the organization. He urged member states to enhance strategic alignment, actively address major risks, and promote personnel exchanges.

The SCO, established in 2001, is a regional intergovernmental organization comprising eight member states, including China, Russia, India, and Pakistan. It focuses on political, economic, and security cooperation among its members.

Li’s call for increased collaboration underscores the importance of multilateral partnerships in addressing global challenges. By strengthening ties and fostering mutual understanding, the SCO aims to promote stability and prosperity in the region.
