Yemen: Medical Air Corridor Links Sanaa and Cairo

New Air Relief Corridor Opens Between Yemen and Egypt

The coalition to restore legitimacy in Yemen has announced the opening of an air relief corridor between the capital Sanaa and Egypt. This medical humanitarian corridor will connect Sanaa airport to Cairo airport, facilitating two flights a month to transfer patients and urgent medical cases.

Coordinated between the legitimate government, joint forces command, and the World Health Organization, the flights will be scheduled once every two weeks. Despite obstacles from Iran-backed Houthi militias hindering the arrival of much-needed aid shipments, all available ports in Yemen are operating at full capacity for humanitarian purposes.

At a workshop in Riyadh, the Yemen Comprehensive Humanitarian Operations center highlighted the achievements of the Kingdom, UAE, and Arab coalition in aiding Yemen. Ambassador Mohammed al-Jaber emphasized the success of the humanitarian operations plan and detailed the efforts of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in Yemen.
