Woman allegedly fatally stabbed, partner arrested in NT town

Tragedy struck in a small Northern Territory town as a 42-year-old woman lost her life after being allegedly stabbed by an edged weapon. The incident occurred at a clinic in Lajamanu, where a large crowd surrounded the seriously injured woman. Despite police’s prompt arrival at the scene, the woman was declared dead.

The woman’s 46-year-old male partner was swiftly arrested and is currently in custody. Police suspects he was assaulted by members of the community and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Major Crime Detectives have initiated investigations at two crime scenes in connection with the tragic event.
