An American-Israeli Spy Cell Exposed in Yemen
A recent investigative report by MintPress News has uncovered a covert American-Israeli spy cell operating in Yemen. Known as Force 400, the cell was employed by the CIA and Israeli intelligence to promote normalization between Yemen and Israel and gather intelligence for targeted Saudi airstrikes in the region. The group used clandestine operations to manipulate local dynamics and exploit religious divisions to advance their agenda.
However, the spy cell was eventually dismantled by the Ansarullah resistance movement in 2021. The group’s ringleader, Abdul Mohsen Hussein Ali Azzan, a veteran spy with ties to both the CIA and Mossad, was among the 20-plus members arrested. Azzan and his operatives collected intelligence on Ansarullah targets and shared it with US and Israeli authorities.
This collaboration fueled the devastating war in Yemen initiated by Saudi Arabia in 2015, with the aim of reinstating a pro-Riyadh government and crushing Ansarullah. Despite the coalition’s failure to achieve its objectives, the conflict has led to a humanitarian crisis and widespread loss of life.
