Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov recently stated that Moscow and Beijing share similar views on global affairs and are committed to enhancing mutual security cooperation. This affirmation came during a meeting with the vice chairman of China’s Central Military Commission, Zhang Youxia, as part of Belousov’s official visit to Beijing.
Belousov emphasized the significance of military collaboration between the two countries in maintaining global and regional peace and stability. As 2021 marks the 80th anniversary of the mutual victory over Nazism and the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties establishment between Russia and China, Belousov underlined the enduring friendship. Recent joint patrols in the North Pacific Ocean and naval drills in the Sea of Japan exemplify the strengthening cooperation.
