Russia and China are solidifying their partnership through defense and military talks, aiming to counter U.S. influence in Asia. Russian Defense Minister, Andrei Belousov, highlighted the unity between the two nations in addressing global challenges during his visit to Beijing. The militaristic discussions with China’s Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission, Zhang Youxia, focused on enhancing military cooperation and maintaining high-level exchanges.
This collaboration comes after declaring a “no limits” partnership in February 2022 and pledging a “new era” of partnership in May this year. Both Putin and Xi Jinping are determined to strengthen their strategic alliance, denouncing U.S. hegemony and chaos in the international arena.
Furthermore, Russia and China are standing together against U.S. efforts to escalate tensions in Asia, particularly around Taiwan. Despite accusations of China aiding Russia in the Ukraine conflict, China denies any involvement in providing military support, emphasizing the importance of uninterrupted trade with Russia.
