NEW YORK, Oct. 15 (YPA) – Over 200 pro-Palestinian protesters were arrested by the US police after staging a sit-in outside the New York Stock Exchange, demanding an end to US support for the Zionist occupation’s war on Gaza Strip.
The protesters, rallying near Wall Street, called on the US administration to halt funding for the Palestinians’ suffering. Despite not entering the stock exchange, some protesters breached the security fence set by the police.
206 individuals were arrested, as reported by a police spokesperson, though Jewish groups mentioned about 500 participants. The protesters denounced American defense contractors and arms manufacturers while condemning Zionist attacks in Lebanon.
The Israeli occupation forces escalated airstrikes in Lebanon, prompting outrage among the demonstrators. The rally highlighted the urgent need to address the ongoing crisis and end the violence against Palestinians. #FreePalestine
