Muscat – Rain clouds continue to sweep across Oman, bringing varying levels of rainfall to multiple governorates as a tropical weather system lingers. The Wilayat of Sur has recorded the highest amount of rain with 33mm on October 14 and 15, followed by Jalan Bani Bu Ali with 26mm, and Al Jazir with 4mm.

The Relief and Shelter Sector has ensured the preparedness of shelter centers in potentially affected governorates including Muscat, South Sharqiyah, North Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, and Dhofar.

Mwasalat has made adjustments to transportation services on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, in response to the ongoing adverse weather conditions. Passengers are advised to stay informed about any disruptions. Ferry and bus timings have been altered accordingly.

Citizens and residents are reminded to exercise caution and avoid dangerous areas like electricity facilities and water lines. Stay updated with official safety advisories.
