“This is a genocide of Palestinians. The US must stop enabling it. Arms embargo now.”
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a member of the American Congress, has urged the Biden administration to halt the “genocide of Palestinians” in Gaza by stopping arms support to Israel.
She emphasized the dire situation in Gaza, blaming the Netanyahu government and calling for immediate action to end the violence.
Her remarks came following the Pentagon’s decision to deploy a THAAD anti-missile system to Israel amid escalating tensions with Iran.
Ongoing Genocide
Israel’s continued offensive on Gaza has led to widespread condemnation, with thousands of Palestinians killed and injured since October 7, 2023.
The conflict has resulted in a severe humanitarian crisis, including mass displacement and acute famine in the region.
Millions Displaced
The Israeli aggression has forced nearly two million people to flee their homes, marking one of the largest mass exoduses in Palestinian history since the 1948 Nakba.
As the conflict intensifies, the need for international intervention and assistance for the affected population becomes more pressing.
