Location: Seoul, South Korea Source: CNN

North Korea recently blew up parts of two major roads linked to the southern part of the peninsula, according to South Korean authorities. The Gyeongui line on the West coast and Donghae line on the East coast, essential road and railway connections between North and South, were destroyed. Despite the routes not being in use for years, the act holds symbolic significance during tense relations between the two countries.

The South Korean Defense Ministry shared a video showing explosions on the northern side of the border, prompting the South Korean military to take defensive actions. This event follows North Korea’s recent threats and provocations, including the possibility of cutting off its territory from the South.

The growing tension between North and South Korea raises concerns globally, highlighting the need for diplomatic solutions to avoid potential conflicts in the region.
