Netanyahu vows to keep hitting Hezbollah in Lebanon, including Beirut

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that Israel will continue to strike Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, including in Beirut, without hesitation. Despite some reports suggesting a US request for Israel to halt these attacks, Netanyahu affirmed that Israel will act according to its operational considerations.

Netanyahu’s statement comes after an attack by Hezbollah drones on the Golani base near Binyamina, where several soldiers were injured and killed. While the US supports Israel’s right to self-defense against Hezbollah, it reportedly expressed its dissatisfaction with the airstrikes in Beirut.

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant have engaged in discussions, with the Pentagon highlighting the importance of moving from military actions to diplomatic solutions.

Netanyahu’s unwavering commitment to targeting Hezbollah highlights Israel’s determination to protect its security interests. As tensions in the region continue to escalate, the Israeli government remains focused on ensuring the safety of its citizens and maintaining its defense capabilities against threats like Hezbollah.
