Netanyahu promises to ‘mercilessly strike’ Hezbollah in Beirut

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a strong warning to Hezbollah, promising merciless strikes in Lebanon, including Beirut, in response to a deadly drone attack on an Israeli military base. Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has also assured a forceful retaliation against Hezbollah after the group’s attack killed four Israeli soldiers.

Israel’s army chief described the drone strike as “difficult and painful,” emphasizing the seriousness of the situation. Meanwhile, Hezbollah has threatened more attacks on Israel if its offensive in Lebanon continues, claiming to have launched missiles and drones towards Israeli targets near Haifa.

The Iran-backed group boasted of successfully hitting the Israeli army base in Binyamina, leading to casualties among Israeli officers and soldiers. Hezbollah’s actions have escalated tensions in the region, with both sides prepared for further hostilities.
