In the wake of the recent Hezbollah drone attack that resulted in the deaths of four Israeli soldiers, the Israeli Defense Ministry is ramping up efforts to develop new technologies to better defend against such threats.
While Israel’s air defenses have shown effectiveness against rocket and missile attacks, they have faced challenges in countering drone assaults. Unmanned aerial vehicles have been linked to several lethal incidents.
The Defense Ministry announced the expedited testing of various technologies from Israeli companies to address this issue. Following analysis of the results, selected technologies will undergo further development for potential deployment within a few months.
