Imran Khan undergoes medical checkup at Adiala Jail, pronounced fit and healthy
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan confirmed that Imran Khan, the party founder, received a medical checkup at Adiala Jail. The government informed Khan about the examination, which was conducted by two doctors including an ENT specialist and a medical expert around 4 pm. The medical team reported that Imran Khan is in good health and even exercised for an hour. Expressing gratitude to concerned PTI workers and supporters, Khan assured that the medical reports would be shared with the public soon.
The PTI postponed its protest at Islamabad’s D-Chowk on October 15 following the government’s assurance of a medical examination for Imran Khan. The decision was made during a meeting of PTI’s political committee, considering the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit taking place in the capital city. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi assured Khan of the examination and restoration of access to his physician, leading to the peaceful postponement of the protest.
