Building a Better Country Through Patriotism
- Says we need to reglue our bonds
By Shina Abubakar, Osogbo
In a recent Stakeholders’ Engagement on National Anthem, Identity Project, and Value Charter in Osogbo, the Federal Government emphasized the importance of patriotism in building a great nation. According to Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, the Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), infrastructure alone is not enough to create lasting change without a foundation of shared ethics and values among the people.
Issa-Onilu highlighted the need for Nigerians to strengthen their bonds and embrace patriotism to drive national development. To address societal challenges, NOA is implementing initiatives like the Mobilizer App to engage youth, promoting ‘The Real Nigerian Campaign’ to showcase cultural pride, and recruiting Citizens Brigade in schools to uphold national values.
By fostering a sense of national pride and unity, the Federal Government aims to create a more cohesive and prosperous country. As citizens, our actions and attitudes play a crucial role in shaping the future of Nigeria. Let’s come together, reglue our bonds, and build a brighter tomorrow.
The post emphasises the importance of fostering patriotism and values in nation-building efforts, reflecting a shared goal of creating a stronger and more unified Nigeria.
