Israel’s Fear of Retaliation Becomes a Nerve Test for Iran’s Mullahs

The dictatorial regime is reported to be “extremely nervous” and has initiated diplomatic contacts with other countries in the Middle East. The goal is to gauge whether they can diminish the extent of Israel’s counterattack, reported by the US news channel CNN. If unsuccessful, Tehran has even sought protection.

In early October, Iran launched 181 medium-range missiles at Israel, marking the second attack within six months. Tehran also supports the Hezbollah terrorist group in Lebanon and the Houthi militia in Yemen, both of which frequently target Israel.

Israel’s Defense Minister Joav Galant has announced a deadly, precise, and surprising attack on Iran, emphasizing that those who seek to harm Israel will pay a price.

CNN reports that the Mullahs are uncertain whether the US can dissuade Israel from attacking Iranian nuclear facilities and oil fields. The potential strike against the Mullahs’ nuclear program is a recurring topic.

The US recently imposed new sanctions on Iran to curb regime revenues for its atomic program, missile development, and backing of terrorist organizations.

The Gulf allies of the US, including the UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar, have expressed concerns to CNN about potential negative economic and ecological consequences for the entire region.
