BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 15. Elman Abdullayev, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to UNESCO, reiterated Azerbaijan’s unwavering support for UNESCO’s global priorities and Africa’s development during the 220th session of the UNESCO Executive Board.
Emphasizing Azerbaijan’s commitment to gender equality, advancement in Africa, and fostering unity amidst global challenges, Abdullayev showcased Azerbaijan’s dedication to promoting dialogue and mutual respect across cultures and religions.
Azerbaijan’s significant contributions through the Azerbaijan UNESCO Trust Fund, support for the Priority Africa Initiative, and investment in STEM education in Africa were highlighted, showcasing the country’s commitment to sustainable development and cultural preservation.
The ambassador affirmed Azerbaijan’s ongoing collaboration with UNESCO and other Member States to further these essential initiatives and strengthen global cooperation for a more inclusive and peaceful world.
