Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan recently spoke at the 75th Session of the Executive Committee of the UNHCR in Geneva. He addressed the issue of over 115,000 refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh who fell victim to ethnic cleansing by Azerbaijan’s military aggression in 2023. Kostanyan highlighted the Armenian government’s efforts to address the immediate humanitarian needs of the refugees and stressed the importance of ongoing support from international partners.
He emphasized the necessity for long-term solutions to assist the refugees and called for continued collaboration with UNHCR and other organizations to provide essential aid.
