Iranian Parliament Speaker condemns Israeli aggression in Lebanon
Speaking at the 149th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly in Geneva, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf expressed solidarity with the people of Lebanon in the face of Israeli attacks. He highlighted the resilience of the Lebanese people in the midst of adversity, stating that they continue to stand strong against the “biggest enemy of humanity.”
Qalibaf criticized Israel’s assassination of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, emphasizing that the Resistance movement remains resilient despite such attempts. He called for international support to help the displaced and establish a sustainable ceasefire in Lebanon.
The Iranian Speaker underscored Iran’s support for any ceasefire agreement reached by the Lebanese government, parliament, and Resistance front. He also condemned Israel’s use of science and technology in perpetrating violence and state terrorism.
In the wake of escalating tensions in the region, Qalibaf’s message at the IPU Assembly resonated with the need for peace and sustainable solutions to conflicts.
