The Lagos High Court has set December 10, 2024, for judgment in their N1.06 billion fundamental human rights enforcement suit against the Lagos State Government and other parties.
This legal battle, marked ID/13107MFHR/22, involves the unlawful arrest and mysterious disappearance of Kingsley after being taken into custody by Lagos State agents in 2010. Despite multiple inquiries, the Amos family has been left in the dark about Kingsley’s whereabouts, leading to immense psychological distress.
Represented by their counsel, Eze Alala, the plaintiffs are seeking N1 billion in compensation for Kingsley’s ordeal, along with N50 million in exemplary damages and a public apology. Their struggle for accountability underscores the lack of transparency in their quest for truth and justice.
