North Korea warns of artillery ready to strike South.

Kim Jong-un’s Sister Warns of “Horrible Disaster” if South Korea Provokes North

In response to alleged propaganda leaflets dropped by drones from South Korea over Pyongyang, North Korea has ordered frontline artillery units to prepare to open fire on the South. The North Korean government accused the South of flying drones carrying propaganda leaflets over the capital multiple times this month, prompting a military response.

The General Staff of the Korean People’s Army issued a preliminary operation order to artillery units along the border to be fully armed and ready to open fire. North Korea, with over 10,000 artillery pieces along the southern border, could cause significant casualties in major South Korean cities within an hour in the event of war.

Kim Yo-jong, the sister of Kim Jong-il, warned that any further provocation by South Korea could lead to a “horrible disaster.” While South Korea denied sending drones into North Korean airspace, tensions have escalated following North Korea’s missile tests and military exercises by the US and South Korea.
