Iran Vows to Hold Israel Accountable for Assassination of IRGC Commander
Iran’s Foreign Ministry has pledged to use all its resources to seek justice for the assassination of Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan by Israel in Beirut. The ministry condemned Israel’s aggressive actions and affirmed its commitment to holding the Zionist regime accountable for the crime.
Brigadier General Nilforoushan, a high-ranking IRGC general, was martyred in an Israeli attack alongside Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. His funeral services will be held in Iraq and Iran, with a commemoration ceremony in Tehran on October 15.
The Iranian government emphasized that the assassination was an unlawful and unforgivable act, highlighting the need to confront Israel’s continuous acts of violence. The statement called for global condemnation of Israel’s actions since its establishment in 1948.
