Ghita Mezzour reveals ‘Digital Morocco 2030’ at GITEX Global 2024

Minister Ghita Mezzour unveiled the ambitious national strategy “Digital Morocco 2030” at GITEX Global in Dubai, a renowned event hosting discussions with experts from various fields until October 18. Mezzour highlighted Morocco’s vision of digitalizing public services, promoting inclusivity, and boosting the digital economy. The government is dedicated to creating a conducive environment for digital skills development through “Merchour” hubs and supporting talent acquisition in leading companies.

Mezzour emphasized showcasing Morocco’s digital advancements globally and ensuring youth have access to digital jobs through the “Digital Morocco 2030” plan, offering inclusive training programs in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education.

The minister reiterated the strategy’s focus on digitizing public services and positioning Morocco as a hub for modern tech talent. She emphasized the importance of digital inclusion, aiming to improve access to digital services for all Moroccans, including the illiterate and technologically challenged, through innovative solutions.

GITEX Global 2024, focusing on AI-powered economies, aims to connect over 6,500 companies, 1,800 startups, and 1,200 investors from 180+ countries. Mezzour sees the event as a platform to attract investments and foster global partnerships, ensuring Morocco’s digital progress is closely monitored.
