German intelligence chief warns: Russia may attack NATO by 2030

In a recent parliamentary hearing, German intelligence chief Bruno Kahl warned that by 2030, Russia will have the military capabilities to attack NATO. Western leaders and defense officials have been sounding the alarm about the growing threat from Russia and the lack of preparedness in Europe. Kahl highlighted Russia’s use of covert and hybrid measures against the West, stating that Moscow’s ultimate goals include pushing the U.S. out of Europe and expanding its sphere of influence.

Additionally, Thomas Haldewang, chief of Germany’s domestic intelligence agency, noted a sharp increase in Russian espionage and sabotage activities in Europe. These developments have prompted NATO to reconsider its relationship with Russia for the first time in decades, with defense ministers from member nations set to discuss a new strategy in Brussels.

The warning about Russia’s escalating aggression and military spending compared to the West highlights the urgent need for increased vigilance and strategic planning in response to these growing threats. It is essential for Western nations to work together and strengthen their defenses to counter Russia’s expanding influence and safeguard global security.
