A police officer, Makhaye, from the Cato Manor visible policing unit was found in possession of 105 bank cards from various banks and a suspicious number plate. He faces charges including possession of suspected stolen property, theft, fraud, and obstructing justice by tampering with a crime scene.

This incident follows the tragic death of Zara, a grade 5 pupil at Penzance Primary School, who was killed by hijackers while hiding under her mother’s vehicle. The hijackers demanded the car keys, and upon realizing the danger, Zara hid under the car. However, the suspects ran over her while fleeing the scene.
